Jessie Johns

Jessie is a Clinical Nutritionist with a deep reverence for the body’s innate wisdom and a passion for integrating food-based healing with the science of Nutritional and Integrative Medicine.

With over 5 years of study, 4 years of clinical experience, and a Bachelor of Health Science in Nutritional and Dietetic Medicine, Jessie has worked collaboratively across the Natural, Functional and Integrative Medicine spaces. Her approach is holistic, evidence-based, and deeply personal - centering on client education, empowerment, and a strong belief that true healing begins when we understand and honour our body’s unique needs and nutrient demands.

Jessie knows nutrients underpin every biochemical reaction in the body, and therefore believes consistently meeting the body’s nutritional requirements with adequate wholefoods is fundamental - not only to restoring good health, but to truly heal and thrive. She is especially passionate about upholding this foundation, even amidst the modern-day pressure for convenience and quick fixes.

To Jessie, Nutritional Medicine is not about calories and meal plans, it is about understanding one’s unique set of nutritional requirements and optimising them with grace. She believes the most sustainable approach is one led by intuition, inspired by tradition, and informed by both clinical research and real-world outcomes. At the heart of her work is the reminder that food is so much more than fuel - it is medicine, nourishment, connection, community, joy, and an act of love and service.

Jessie supports clients to investigate the root causes of their health concerns through comprehensive case taking, functional testing, dietary analysis, and holistic pathology interpretation. With special interest in the gut microbiome, she weaves together clinical tools - including gut microbiome mapping, hair tissue mineral analysis, vaginal microbiome profiling and more - with a practical, evidence-informed approach and deep respect for individual physiology.

She brings a trauma-informed lens to her work and collaborates closely with a range of allied practitioners including psychologists, osteopaths, myofunctional therapists, bodyworkers and more, to ensure all layers of health are supported, from the structural and biochemical to the emotional and nervous system. Jessie uses nutritional therapy, herbal medicine, and high-quality supplementation to complement dietary foundations - always starting with food first, and believing that no supplement or lifestyle hack can ever outpace true nourishment.

Those who work with Jessie describe her as compassionate, grounded, and gently firm in her guidance. Her clients are met with patience, respect and unwavering support.
